Zelle Attorneys to Present at 2018 PLRB Claims Conference
April 18, 2018Zelle LLP partners Thomas Caswell and Todd Tippett will present at the 2018 PLRB Claims Conference, which will take place April 15-18, 2018 in Orlando, Florida.
Caswell, a partner in the firm’s Minneapolis office, will co-present on the topic “Cyber Risks: Trends & Exposures.” During the session, Caswell and co-presenter Jeffrey Morgan of Charles Taylor Adjusting will:
- Identify the trends and risk vectors in hacking activity
- Describe the evolving cyber exposures faced by different industries
- Explore the advances in ethical hacking, penetration testing, and other methods of protection
Tippett, a partner in Zelle’s Dallas office, will co-present on “Claims Strategies When Working with Public Adjusters” with Kim Dodd of Hartford Insurance Group, and Chad Fuller of Cavalry Construction. For this session, the presenters will:
- Identify the purpose and proper role of a public adjuster
- Review state statutes in various jurisdictions that impact a public adjuster’s duties and responsibilities
- Describe effective strategies to communicate with public adjusters and insureds in a variety of claim scenarios
- Evaluate strategies for resolving differences with a public adjuster
