Steven Badger to Present at Independent Insurance Agents of Texas Seminar
January 30, 2018Steven Badger, a partner in the Dallas office of Zelle, will present on the topic “Insurance and Public Policy Issues Arising From the 911 Terrorist Attack” at the Joe Vincent Management Seminar hosted by the Independent Insurance Agents of Texas. The seminar will take place in Austin, Texas on January 28-30, 2018.
For seven years, Badger served on the Plaintiffs Executive Committee leading the $5 billion subrogation action against airlines and aviation security companies alleged to have been responsible for the 9/11 Terrorist Attack. This historic litigation concluded in a $1.2 billion settlement for the participating property insurers. Badger's presentation provides an inside look at the events leading up to 9/11. Badger discusses the insurance and public policy issues around the litigation, as well as the pending subrogation against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
