Zelle Partners to Present at ARIAS-U.S. 2017 Spring Conference
May 5, 2017Zelle partners Wm. Gerald McElroy, Jr. and Elizabeth Kniffen will present at the ARIAS (AIDA Reinsurance and Insurance Arbitration Society) 2017 Spring Conference. The conference will be held May 3-5, 2017 in Naples, Florida.
McElroy, a partner in Zelle’s Boston office, will moderate a panel titled “A Fresh Perspective on the Business Aspect of Commutations.” The panel of industry practitioners will share key insights on successful commutation strategy and the role of commutation agreements in managing runoff in the current business environment. This session will engage participants through interactive discussions on topics, including key issues related to commutation of reinsurance agreements and understanding the current business climate and impact on commutations of reinsurance agreements.
Kniffen, a partner in Zelle’s Minneapolis office, will lead an “Emerging Risks – New and Evolving” roundtable discussion on cybersecurity. The risk landscape is ever evolving as emerging risks continue to develop and change at a rapid pace. For the re/insurance industry, the march of progress and modern technology has heightened the awareness of risk, bringing with it a sense of uncertainty as well as unexpected opportunities.
