Zelle Attorneys to Present at Northwest Loss Association Annual Trade Fair
February 15, 2017On Wednesday, February 15, Lindsey Davis, Elizabeth Kniffen, and Dan Millea, partners in the Minneapolis office of Zelle, will present at the Northwest Loss Association Annual Trade Fair.
Davis will present “The Keys to Effective Claims Negotiations,” during which she will examine the negotiation process from the insurer's perspective and the insured's perspective, evaluate core negotiating strategies and how to identify when a particular strategy will help accomplish negotiation goals, identify common negotiation mistakes and understand how to avoid them, and explore keys to an effective negotiation and apply those keys in real-world claim scenarios.
Kniffen will present “Drop it Like it’s Hot,” which will give adjusters and insurance professionals a thorough knowledge and understanding of the priority of payments under primary and non-primary insurance policies. She will also delve into the issues surrounding horizontal and vertical exhaustion of policy limits such as when exhaustion occurs and the conflicts between “other insurance” clauses.
Millea will present “When Bad Things Happen to Good People,” which will explore catastrophic property damage scenarios, the impact such catastrophes can have on commercial property, the upstream and downstream impacts on insured customers and suppliers, contingent business interruption policy language and limitations, and the coverage questions that are likely to arise.
