Steven Badger to Present at Texas Surplus Lines Association Mid-Year Meeting
July 18, 2016Steven Badger, a partner in the Dallas office of Zelle, will present a program titled "Texas Hail Claims -- What The Hail™ Is Going On?" at the mid-year meeting of the Texas Surplus Lines Association (TSLA). The meeting will take place at the Four Seasons Resort in Santa Barbara, California on July 17-20, 2016.
Badger, who represents the commercial property insurance industry in catastrophic risk exposures, will explore the reasons behind the dramatic increase in hail lawsuit filings and provide an update on industry efforts to address fraud and other abuses which have become commonplace in these claims. Strategies for responding to the adjustment and coverage issues commonly arising in these claims will also be discussed, as well as underwriting solutions and policy form changes being adopted by many carriers.
