Steven Badger and Jason Reeves to Present LMA Academy Master Class on Hail Litigation Crisis
June 8, 2016On June 8, 2016, Zelle attorneys Steven Badger and Jason Reeves will co-present an LMA Academy master class titled "The Emerging Hail Risk: Update from the Trenches".
The hail litigation crisis continues, with no end in sight. Indications are that the problems are spreading to hail-prone states other than Texas. Badger, who has previously spoken at LMA Academy master classes on this topic, will provide an update on the situation.
Issues to be discussed include:
- industry efforts to address fraud and other abuses
- strategies for responding to adjustment and coverage issues commonly arising in the underlying claims
- underwriting solutions
- recommended policy form changes
- legislative proposals.
The goal of the LMA Academy is to raise the profile of education in the Lloyd's market.
