Zelle International Attorneys to Present LMA Academy Master Class on (Re)Insurance Claims in Latin America
May 5, 2016On May 5, 2016, Jason Reeves and José Umbert of Zelle International will co-present an LMA Academy master class titled "Claims in Latin America: Critical Issues for International (Re)Insurers".
The presenters will explain several critical concepts for London market (re)insurers writing risks in Latin America.
Using case studies, they will discuss key issues including:
- potential conflicts with local insurers
- issues regarding claims control and cooperation
- implementation of claims protocols and use of new technologies
- adjusting procedures, including new trend shortening deadlines for adjustment
- preservation of coverage and other defenses
