Zelle Attorneys to Present at 2016 Northwest Loss Association Conference
February 17, 2016Zelle LLP partners Steven Badger, Lindsey Davis, Elizabeth Kniffen and Shannon O’Malley will present at the 2016 Northwest Loss Association Conference which will take place February 17, 2016 in Bloomington, Minnesota. The Northwest Loss Association is comprised of insurance adjusters and vendors who are dedicated to the goal of improving the knowledge, performance, and professionalism of property insurance adjusters.
Badger, a partner in the firm’s Dallas office, will present on “Weather Damage Claims: What the Hail™ is the Fuss All About?” During the course, Badger will examine adjustment, coverage, appraisal, and litigation issues currently arising in hail damage claims.
Davis, a partner in the firm’s Minneapolis office, will present on “Avoiding Bad Faith Allegations.” This course is intended to give adjusters and insurance professionals a thorough knowledge and understanding of good faith claim handling practices and effective claim-file management in the context of complex first party property claims.
Kniffen, a partner in Zelle’s Minneapolis office, will present on “Reinsurance Considerations for Property Claims.” The course will address core reinsurance concepts as well as common reinsurance disputes and special considerations for property claims.
O’Malley, a partner in Zelle’s Dallas office, will present on “Business Interruption and Time Element Coverages.” The course will address a multitude of common issues in business interruption claims, including issues relating to delayed start up and advanced loss of profits, and examine the fundamental purpose of business interruption insurance and the fundamental requirements of business interruption coverage.
