Reeves and Umbert to present Latin American Business Series
July 7, 2015On July 7, 2015, Jason Reeves and José Umbert, of Zelle Hofmann’s London office, will co-present an LMA Academy master class titled, “Latin American Business Series - Legal Tour of Latin America.” Joining Reeves and Umbert for this presentation will be a distinguished panel of Latin American lawyers.
The discussion will include the following topics:
• the basic principles - Civil Law v Common Law
• the governing law of policies (and any language requirements)
• jurisdictional issues and the arbitration framework
• disclosure obligations and remedies
• 'condition precedent' as a recognized principle
• the existence of warranties as a concept
• limitation
• discovery and privilege.
