Victoria L. Johnson
Victoria joined Zelle in 2020 and is an associate in the firm’s New York office. Her practice focuses on complex commercial litigation and (re)insurance disputes. Victoria counsels and represents large insurance companies on a broad range of matters, including general liability coverage and defense, first-party property insurance, event cancellation insurance, builders’ risk insurance, business interruption claims, and bad faith allegations.
Victoria is also a member of the team that represents quasi-government agency plaintiffs in litigation against numerous banks related to the manipulation of LIBOR, a benchmark interest rate.
At Boston University School of Law, Victoria was elected to participate in the Civil Litigation Clinic, where she represented clients as a certified student-attorney in a broad range of civil matters. During her third year of law school, Victoria worked as a pro-bono extern at a large law firm in Boston.
Representative Matters
Represent clients in insurance defense and bad faith litigation actions, in both federal and state court.
Represent commercial property insurers to analyze claims and defend litigation concerning losses attributed to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Member of the team that represents Freddie Mac and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation as Receiver for 38 Closed Banks in the LIBOR antitrust litigation. (In re LIBOR-Based Financial Instruments Antitrust Litig., No. 11-md-2262-NRB (S.D.N.Y.))
