Mackenzie R. Moy
Mackenzie represents global insurance companies in both liability and first-party matters including personal injury, commercial liability, claims handling, business interruption, and bad faith. She also has considerable experience with COVID-19-related claims, personal injury matters, first-party storm damage claims, and other first- and third-party coverage matters.
Mackenzie handles all types of first-party coverage matters as well as third-party liability claims. She also has experience with property insurance claims involving condominium buildings and other homeowners’ insurance matters.
She practices primarily in Minnesota state court, the U.S. District of Minnesota, and many other federal courts nationwide. She is also admitted to the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Prior to and during law school, Mackenzie was a liability claims handler for a large, global insurance company, where she worked primarily on commercial trucking matters.
Representative Matters
Represented large property-casualty insurance and surety carrier in an arbitration on a late noticed Hurricane Irma claim where the Insured was seeking in excess of $3M. The arbitration award resulted in a total defense win with the Insured being awarded $0.00.
