Shelby M. Ross
Shelby is an associate attorney in Zelle’s New York office. She is licensed to practice in the State of New York and Connecticut, where she represents global insurance companies on a wide range of insurance-related matters, with an emphasis on first-party coverage disputes. Her practice focuses on all stages of litigation including pre-suit investigation, evaluation, motion practice, and discovery and providing thorough analysis on a variety of complex coverage issues across numerous jurisdictions. She has experience in analyzing and advising clients on breach of contract claims and common law and statutory bad faith.
Prior to joining Zelle, Shelby spent time working for a boutique plaintiff’s coverage firm where she focused her practice on coverage issues at a national level. Shelby also had the privilege of serving as a judicial extern for the Honorable Stefan R. Underhill of the United States District Court for the District Court of Connecticut.
Shelby received her juris doctorate from Quinnipiac University School of Law in 2023, where she graduated magna cum laude. She served as the Supervising Editor for the Quinnipiac Probate Law Journal, Vice President of External Competitions & Financial Director for Quinnipiac’s Moot Court Society, and had her Note, A Digital Market Emerges: An Analysis of the Difficulties Investors of Cryptocurrency Face in and Beyond the Probate Context, published in the Quinnipiac Probate Law Journal.
