Steven Badger and Jason Reeves to Present LMA Academy Master Class on Key Issues Affecting Hail Claims
March 19, 2015On March 19, 2015, Steven Badger, a partner in Zelle Hofmann’s Dallas office, and Jason Reeves, of counsel in the firm’s London office, will co-present an LMA Academy master class titled “Update on Key Issues Affecting Hail Claims.”
The hail claims crisis continues and with hail a certainty in Texas and other U.S. states, this emerging risk will continue to require a long term solution.
The session will include information on:
- best practices to address common issues including the identification of physical loss or damage, cosmetic damage, establishing cost of repair/replacement, determining date of loss, late notice, common traps and the appraisal process;
- strategies to deal with fraud, case-running, and other bad conduct;
- update on significant issues/new legal cases;
- pending legislative solutions; and
- wordings solutions.
The goal of the LMA Academy is to raise the profile of education in the Lloyd's market. This is delivered through a series of modular programs, workshops, master classes and alumni events that support learning and career development.
